When it comes to “going-out” in Atlanta, Atlantic Station is one of the top places to take a significant other for date night, children to play or just to hang out. This summer we should all utilize our great weather to get outdoors and experience some of their events. Here are 5 events happening at Atlantic Station starting in April that you should try to attend!
1. Tot Spot
Every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon Central Park will be completely devoted to this fun event where kids get to be kids! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their pre-school aged children to Atlantic Station for a morning filled with adventure. Weekly surprises include storytellers, face painting and visitors from the local community like Zoo Atlanta and the Center for Puppetry Arts. Tot Spot begins on April 4 and lasts through Sept. 26.
2. Wellness Wednesday
Every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Atlantic Station, Athleta Atlantic Station and Evolation Yoga team up for a weekly yoga class. Wellness Wednesday begins on April 5 and lasts through Sept. 27.
3. Improv in the Park
Atlantic Station is proud to partner with the Whole World Improv Theatre for a summer of laughs. The show kicks off the first Wednesday of each month at 8 p.m. in Central Park. Improv in the Park begins on April 5 and lasts through Sept. 6.
4. Art in the Park
Grab your friends and a bottle of wine and head to Atlantic Station’s Central Park for Art in the Park the first Sunday of every month. PaintNite will teach a step-by-step painting class that’s sure to leave you with a painting worthy of Picasso’s approval. This event is for adults 21 and older. Tickets can be purchased in advance and prices depend on the painting selected for each class. Walk-ups are welcome if space is available. Each ticket includes painting supplies and two drink tickets which can be redeemed for beer or wine. Art in the Park begins on April 2 and lasts through May 7.
