Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 82nd birthday this week. With this day comes their “gift” back to fans. This year, they’ve also added a limited edition treat that was teased last month and only available for purchase this week!

In what has become an annual tradition, Krispy Kreme is selling a dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts for $1 with the purchase of any dozen at participating shops. Every year, I swing by a Krispy Kreme to test fate ($1 dozen is a good deal haha) and needless to say its a fan favorite. Lines at the Stockbridge location I drove to were legitimately protruding well into the parking lot. 

“Krispy Kreme fans love to celebrate our birthday. They really make it their party, which is good with us.” said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme.

New for this year is their Original Filled variety, the Original Filled Birthday Batter Doughnut. It is festively filled with birthday cake batter, dipped in strawberry icing, and topped with party sprinkles. It is only available for purchase until July 21.
