Sikari Henry is a dynamic 16-year-old artist on the grind. This Miller Grove High School student is a beast when it comes to sketching and digital drawing. When she was only 15, Sikari made the decision that her real focus would be to expand her skillset in the arts. While most young adults don’t start seeking internships until they are well into their college years, Sikari got an early start and went hunting for her first internship before she even walked across her first graduation stage.
It wasn’t long before Sikari found the perfect opportunity and submitted her work in hopes of being a finalist for a local internship. While the odds were stacked heavily against the young teenager, Sikari released her fears and decided it was time to take her passion to the next level. It was a brave decision that truly paid off. She was selected to be the next intern at Taters4Art, LLC. The internship proved to be a cherished milestone for her. This was the first opportunity for her to live her dream. During the course of her internship, Sikari has added photography, videography, web design, photoshop, and adobe to her list of rapidly expanding skills.
At the end of the internship, Terone Allen, owner of Taters4Art was thoroughly impressed with Sikari’s work ethics and willingness to learn. He became Sikari’s mentor to help her elevate her skills to the next level – not just in art but also in business. He is focused on teaching her the entrepreneurial skills and knowledge she needs to make it as a successful artist and business owner in Atlanta. Under Terone’s direction, Sikari has assisted on various projects from designing logos, photography and editing.
