Police say three teenagers have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a woman at a gas station near Stone Mountain in DeKalb County, east of Atlanta.
Local news media outlets reported Saturday that all three suspects were charged for fatally shooting 25-year-old Shaneku McCurty, who tried to fight them back. Police say McCurty drove to a Chevron station on Redan Road around 1 a.m. Friday and went inside to buy some items.
Police say that as she returned to her car, she was attacked by several men.
Police say McCurty was shot several times, and later died at the hospital.
DeKalb County Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Public Safety Cedric Alexander said Saturday two brothers — ages 15 and 16 — were arrested. A 16-year-old is believed to be the shooter.
