2015 is coming to a close, and it shows that Georgia has become stronger and stronger of a state than ever! There are so many things to look forward to in the next year, and Georgia will be pulling out all of the stops. Check out these ten things to look forward to in 2016.
- New Food Festivals
- Georgia has become well known for it’s beer festivals, but after a Buzzfeed article saying that Atlanta is a destination to “eat your way through,” there will be more food festivals popping up. Just to name a few, there will be a taco festival in Atlanta, more barbecue festivals in the state, and my personal favorite; The Atlanta Brunch Festival.
- Casting Calls in Atlanta
- Atlanta is becoming the Southern Hollywood. There will be so many more casting calls in the next year. For everything from TV shows through Turner to big movies brought on by Pinewood Studios.

- New Music FestivalsWith Sweetwater 420fest, Shaky Knees and Music Midtown, how could the Atlanta music scene get better? More music, duh. The group behind Shaky Knees and Shaky Boots will bring out Shaky Beats in 2016. The lineup already includes Nas, Big Gigantic and Porter Robinson.
