Still time to grab a bite during ATL Burger Week!
Atlanta’s got buns, burger buns that is. The Georgia Beef Board and Creative Loafing are pumped to bring back the juiciest week of the year: ATL Burger Week! Over 40 locations in Atlanta will be offering $5 burgers, the special began Monday April 23rd and will be running until Sunday April 29th.
Restaurants all throughout the Atlanta-area and Outside the Perimeter (OTP) are participating. Areas participating include Midtown, Buckhead, Downtown, Decatur, East Atlanta Village and so many more. Locations are serving burgers of all different shapes, sizes, meats and treats. Regardless of the dining spot you have chosen, you will enjoy a mouth-watering experience.
Highlights include but are definitely not limited to…
Zesto: The Chubbiest Decker, which has two patties, bacon, a homemade onion ring, mustard, ketchup, onion, pickle, mayo, lettuce, tomato and cheese.
Poke Burri: The Korean BBQ Burger, which is a Korean marinated burger on Hawaiian potato bread, crispy lettuce, tomato with their spicy mayo along with fried brussels on the side with sweet chili sauce.
Neighbor’s Pub: The Monte Cristo Burger, which is a 4 oz. all beef burger sandwiched between two slices of french toast topped with American cheese, sliced ham and a fried egg served with a side of jam.
City Winery: The Thanksgiving Feast Burger, which has a turkey patty with crispy Ritz stuffing, decadent mashed potatoes, rosemary gravy and homemade cranberry sauce on a brioche bun.
Sublime Doughnuts: The Ice Cream Burger, which is a fresh made in-store gelato sandwiched between a Sublime Doughnut with your choice of toppings.
ATL Burger Week has a few contests that offer the opportunity for people to win some sweet prizes. There is a #ATLBurgerWeek Passport, which is a useful guide to keep track of where you’ve been and where you need to go. Every spot has a stamp, once you have finished your visit make sure to get your passport stamped. If you get 5 or more stamps, you can mail it to Creative Loafing for a chance to win some prizes. A few locations on the passport also have a peach icon next to them, which means they are a partner restaurant to Evan Williams Peach. The restaurants partnering with Evan Peach Williams are not only offering a $5 burger but also a $5 Peach Bourbon cocktail.
The ATL Burger Week Photo Contest is an additional contest running alongside the event that allows individuals to win prizes like concert tickets. Step 1 is to take a photo of yourself, your deliciously beefy burger or your #ATLBurgerWeek experience. Step 2 is to post your photo on Instagram or Facebook by adding your location at the participating restaurant and tagging #ATLBurgerWeek. Step 3 is to enjoy ATL Burger Week!
Visit their website at www.atlburgerweek.com for more information on all participating locations, prizes and to download your passport. Share your experiences and keep up to date by following ATL Burger Week on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
