The legendary Apache Cafe has an open mic every Sunday night and even Urban Grind Coffee House has an open mic every Thursday. Reflective Soul Series
This open mic is hosted every 1st Wednesday of the month at 1804 Montreal Ct, Ste B, Tucker, GA 30084 Mark Squared Studios. This monthly open mic was created by myself and is hosted by spoken word artist Yo’ Sista and Comedian Izzyreal. The location of this open mic is unique because it is at an event space. Since this open mic is at an event space, you will see different a theme and scenery each month. This is the only open mic in Atlanta that offers free food, free parking, and great entertainment for only $7. The atmosphere at this open mic is very fun, friendly, personable, and bubbly! If you’re in the mood for poetry, live music, comedy, and improv then Reflective Soul Series open mic is for you! Doors open at 7PM and the show starts at 8PM. Griot Tuesdays
This open mic is hosted every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at The Gallery EAV, 490 Flat Shoals Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. Griot Tuesdays is created and hosted by Terone Allen of TatersrArt, LLC. The components of this open mic are quite unique compared to other open mics in the Atlanta area. This open mic consists of featured poets, live painting, bon fire, two DJs, and a cypher! The cover charge is $5 for performers and $7 for the general audience. Do You Lyric Lounge
This unique experience is can be enjoyed every second Saturday of the month at Hodgepodge Coffee House 720 Moreland Avenue SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. It is one of the longest running open mics in the Atlanta area. The show is created and hosted by DeVeata Williams LadyVee DaPoet. The consistency and quality of this show is what makes this open mice a true gem in Atlanta. Each month you are guaranteed to enjoy a quality show with amazing spoken word and musical performances.
