XXL Freshmen Lil Yachty began a not-so-surprising conflict after Soulja posted a picture of him and his ex-girlfriend, India Love, on Instagram. Lil Yachty, who claimed to have been dating India at the time, directly texted Soulja Boy and asked him to take the post down. After a few meager social media tweets and hysterical video uploads, Soulja officially squashed the beef with an Instagram post.
Earlier this June, Atlanta’s own Ian Connor trended worldwide on Twitter after a video of him sucker-punching Theophilus London was uploaded on Twitter.
The fight supposedly erupted after London accused Connor of being a rapist. After the video was uploaded, an online feud between Connor, A$AP Bari, and London was broadcasted to their followers and an era of Ian Connor disgust massed from his fans.
Fans responded quite hastily to the situation. Many accusing Connor of being absolute scum.
21 Savage vs. 22 Savage
“With 21, comes 22, 23, 24…” 21 Savage fired shots at a relatively similar rapper, 22 Savage, during a concert back in October. During his performance, he ad-libbed “Ain’t no 22, ain’t no 23!” The staged roared with hype and this marked the beginning of 22 Savage’s beef with 21.
The day before, 21 tweeted out this:
Though it was never confirmed if it was about 22 Savage, the tweet definitely raised some eyebrows.
22 Savage shot back with a cover of 21’s “No Heart”
“This ain’t not 21 bitch, this 22.”
The beef was never resolved so I guess you could say they’re battling it out for the #savage entitlement.
Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West
Kanye and Taylor have had an interesting relationship ever since the 2009 VMA scandal. The two had a rocky relationship at first. Then, it blossomed into what they consider “close friends.” Last February, however, changed the entire status once again. When Kanye released “The Life of Pablo” one of his songs “Famous” caught Taylor’s attention.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that b*tch famous,” he sings.
During her acceptance speech at the 2016 Grammys, she states “There are going to be people along the way who try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishment or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
Later in July, Kim Kardashian stepped in and posted some hardcore evidence on her Snapchat. She proofs that Kanye did in fact call Taylor and ask for her approval of the line.
Taylor responded so:
Since then, even celebrities like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid indirectly added in their input. Although the flame has died down, Kanye and Taylor haven’t come out publicly to announce the beef is over.
Donald Trump vs. The World
This one is pretty self explanatory. At the end of the day, Donald Trump took on almost everybody in a social media beef that led to a presidency and he won it all. The White House, the Twitter feuds and probably even the upcoming legal battles—this man just keep winning.
