Ex-Braves superstar pitcher and new Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, John Smoltz put on the AT&T golf shirt and khaki pants last Friday as he took a job as “AT&T Manager for the Day.”
No, Smoltz is now leaving his new career as TV baseball analyst behind to sell smartphones, tablets and data plans, but he did surprise and talk to lucky AT&T customers on Friday, Nov. 20th, from 12pm – 3pm.
This was AT&T and their AT&T Digital Life platform hosting a “Surprise and Delight” event, featuring Smoltz as the “manager” that would get called in to talk about AT&T Digital Life. Digital Life gives homeowners ultimate security and control. With easy to use features, customers can control their home from almost anywhere using a smartphone, tablet or computer. During the three or so hours, Smoltz interacted with customers, some that recognized the Braves legend, and some that didn’t. Being the great guy and good sport Smoltz is, a great time was had by all. The one-on-one interactions were all caught on camera and will air at a later date.
