On November 9th, Braves fans sympathized with the family of Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson after he slipped into a coma and died shortly after. Reports from the coroner says that he died from, “delayed complications of cocaine and alcohol toxicity”.
Tommy Hanson passed away at a young age of 29 and was found unresponsive at his Coweta County home that he was staying at for the weekend. Coweta coroner Richard Hawk says the death was accidental and was caused by, “illicit drug use”, mainly cocaine.
Hanson was drafted from the Braves in 2005 and pitched for Atlanta for 3 years (2009-2012).
