April is just around the river bend and we’re expecting great things for the state of Georgia next month. The infamous “April Showers” are always given, however we’re looking to begin our budgeting for copious amounts of tanks, flip-flops, flasks for the legal drunkard in all of us, and most of all, concerts! Lots and lots of concerts for us to rock out and/or Shmoney from hither to yon. And we know, next to actually paying for the concert the biggest hassle is searching for them; so rest assured music lovers, we will point you in the direction of some of your favorite artists and provide you with the all the inexpensive alternatives for concert tickets we can find so your turn up doesn’t leave your bank account longing for better days.
Starting the list, in no particular order:
Immortal Technique & Talib Kweli
Talib Kweli and Immortal Technique. For the Hip-hop heads out there this concert is right on time. Talib Kweli is known for being a lyric conscious rapper whose timely lyrics are never too far from addressing the issues in America as they relate to a troubled people. The concert will take place April 8th at 7pm at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Ga. Ticketmaster pricing for tickets seem to begin in the low 20’s, but it never hurts to get a second, or third option.

Lecrae
Christian Hip-Hop artist, Lecrae. Following the release of his 2014 album ‘Anomaly’, Lecrae is going on tour to continue to promote the album and naming his tour, The Anomaly Tour featuring Lecrae. This cocert will be on Thursday, April 16th at 7pm at the Classic Center Theatre in Athens, Ga. Tickets priced between $23 for general admission and $100 for the V.I.P package on ClassicCenter.com

StreetzFest
Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5 Presents, StreetzFest 2015. StreetzFest is an annual concert hosted by Atlanta radio station 94.5 FM which brings together some of the biggest Rap and Hip Hop artists of the time. This year an all-star roster of Meek Mills, Rich Homie Quan, Kevin Gates, and Yo Gotti have already been assembled to take this year’s concert to the next level. The concert is on April 18th at 4pm at The Masquerade. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster $46 up $82 for the VIP Offer.

Tyler the Creator
Tyler the Creator will be hosting a concert on Wednesday, April 22nd at 10pm at the Georgia Theater in Athens, Ga. Stubhub customers seem to be selling tickets starting in the upper $40’s, but I was able to find the in the lower $20’s on Eventful. If truly hell-raising rap and a good time is what you’re after, then Tyler the Creator’s concert is just the place for you.

R. Kelly
There is no introduction needed for the pied piper of R&B, R. Kelly. R. Kelly’s tour comes to GA on Friday, April 10th at 8pm being hosted at the Columbus Civic Center. There is no denying the talent and vocal ability R. Kelly possesses and is sure to bring the house down. Tickets are going for $68 and up on Ticketmaster, but TicketsNow has them starting a $49.

Shawn Mendes
Rising Pop star, Shawn Mendes’ tour, #ShawnsFirstHeadlines will be making a stop here in Atlanta at Center Stage on Friday, April 10th at 8pm as he continues the North American leg of his tour. Shawn Mendes has toured with Austin Mahone and has gained his popularity as a “vine famous” musician. Tickets are ranging between, $35 general admission on VividSeats and $2000 for a meet and greet. Whichever price you pay, you will enjoy yourself from beginning to end.

Paramore
Heading to The Bell Auditorium on Monday, April 27th at 8pm is none other than Paramore. Almost 10 years to the date of their debut album “All We Know Is Falling”, the rock group is touring again and is kicking off their tour in Augusta.
