Great news! The 4th week of March was “DeKalb County “Education and Workforce Development Week.”
The week-long celebration featured daily sector-specific events, highlighting Early Learning and K-12 Education, Higher Education, Corporate and Small Businesses, Government and Municipal, and Non-Profit and Faith-Based Organizations.
“Myself, the Board of Commissioners, the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, and educational and business leaders, came together to announce DeKalb’s Education and Workforce Week, which is officially the fourth week of March,” said Commissioner Ted Terry. “I am pleased to allocate 3-years of district funding to support collaborative efforts that strengthen post-secondary education, reduce loss of learning impacts, and create a stronger workforce by investing in the overall strength and economic vitality today and in the long term health of DeKalb County.”
The proclamation took place and the 4th week of March is now DeKalb’s Education and Workforce week.
