Ecco is one of the top restaurants in Atlanta, we’ve actually included it on many list that we’ve done. Today Ecco announced that Midtown’s award-winning, European inspired restaurant will be welcoming Joshua Perkins as their new executive chef. Perkins brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his role at Ecco, where he will be responsible for overseeing menu development and culinary operations, gradually adding his personal touch to the esteemed menu.
“We are pleased to welcome Joshua to the Fifth Group family,” says Fifth Group partner Robby Kukler. “His impressive resume and leadership experience will be invaluable to ensuring Ecco continues to offer an unparalleled dining experience with fresh, original cuisine and connected service.”
Prior to joining the Fifth Group family, Perkins served as chef-partner of Flight Restaurant and Wine Bar in his hometown of Memphis, Tenn., since 2012. He also has tenure as executive chef/partner at a number of Atlanta restaurants including di Paolo, Brasserie Le Coze and Globe Restaurant and Lounge. Under Perkins’ leadership, Globe received four stars from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and was named Atlanta magazine’s Restaurant of the Year and one of Bon Appetit’s Top Tables.
Perkins’ career has also taken him to Dallas, Texas, where he is credited with opening Coast Global Seafood and earning the restaurant Best Seafood and Best New Restaurant honors by D magazine.
