What better part of Georgia than Buckhead is there to host the Ferrari Art of Speed Driving Experience? Marietta maybe, if you recall the Judgmental Map of Atlanta, but many affluent youths live in the Buckhead area making it a prime destination to attract potential buyers. Thursday March 3rd, Davio’s and its general manager Paul Dunn invited prospects out to test drive the Ferrari California T’s new twin-turbo V8.
“The Ferrari California T’s new twin-turbo V8 is a classic Ferrari engine, reinvented for a new generation, delivering instantaneous throttle response, blistering performance, impressive torque and a signature soundtrack.” What distinguishes the new California T most is that it is closer to your everyday car. Still captivating but less intimidating to drive.
Rather than a test drive on a track, attendees enjoyed a smooth ride through the city for a realistic experience. First timers were certainly more apprehensive sitting behind the steering wheel of a vehicle that goes from 0 to 100 real quick. 0 to 60-mph in 3.6 seconds to be exact.
After a brief explanation of the different nooks and crannies however and knowing manual transmission is optional, nerves begin to settle. Push start the engine, step on the pedal and you are officially operating a Ferrari.
Some say “you don’t drive the car. It drives you.” The California T debunks this myth. Maintaining control of the car is as easy as controlling your breathing but, it is still a Ferrari, an exceptional car part of an elite class of sport motor vehicles. The car is lower to the ground with a luxurious leather interior for the the utmost fancy driving experience. Heads turn and traffic moves aside at the sound of the roaring engine passing by.
It’s not uncommon to see high-performance, luxury vehicles in Buckhead. The California T is sure to join the ranks.
