Marcus Marshall (brother of former UGA back Keith Marshall) has been Georgia Tech’s leading rusher for the last 2 seasons, yesterday he announced that he would be transferring from Georgia Tech in January.
“Just want to sincerely thank my teammates, Coach Johnson and the coaching staff, and everyone else affiliated with GT for the opportunity to represent GT and for their support over the last 2 years. At this point, I have decided to move on from the GT football team and will be transferring in January to continue my academic and football career.”
Rumor has it, the reason behind this move was because he didn’t want to split carries with freshman running back Dedrick Mills and he didn’t want to block/play in the option scheme run by Georgia Tech. Teammates showed their support for Marshall’s move on social media.
Gonna miss my dude @mdmarshall34 best of luck on your future endeavors bro!
