Looking ahead to next weekend in college football, Notre Dame-Georgia is one of the biggest matchups on the docket.This battle of top 10 teams is the second game of a home-and-home between the two storied programs. Georgia won the first meeting in South Bend two years ago. The Bulldogs have handled their business through three weeks, beating Vanderbilt, Murray State and Arkansas State with no problems. Notre Dame, meanwhile, beat Louisville in its season-opener and moved to 2-0 with a 66-14 thrashing of New Mexico yesterday.
ESPN’s early prediction for the game is out. The FPI favors Georgia at home, unsurprisingly.
Georgia has a 67.3 % chance of winning next Saturday, according to ESPN’s Matchup Predictor. All eyes will be on Athens come Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
CBS will broadcast the action as its SEC primetime game.
Notre Dame and Georgia have only met three times before, with the Bulldogs winning the previous two matchups in 1981 and 2017.
