As you know, musical tastes vary depending on which country you’re in, which region, which state and even which city. And people are pretty passionate about their music, whether it’s at work, at home or in the car.
Today Google and YouTube shared with GAFollowers these unique musical preferences and behaviors at a micro level. They looked at 10 major cities across the United States to see what people watched and listened to on YouTube in 2015, including Atlanta, the data is pretty cool.
Atlanta rappers are enormously successful, such as T.I., Migos, K-Camp, Rocko and Young Jeezy. In 2015, they all received twice as many views in their hometown of Atlanta than other cities in the US.
Future, who recently released his new mixtape, “Purple Reign”, is 2.5 times more popular in Atlanta than other U.S. cities, and his videos Rich $ex and Real Sisters are three times more popular in Georgia’s capital.
Finally, Young Thug’s Check and With That are three times more popular in Atlanta than other cities across the United States.
