We are just 9 days out from Super Bowl LI and like true birds of a feather, the Hawks couldn’t let the Falcons travel to Houston without showing their support. The Hawks will honor the NFC champions with a pregame ceremony tonight prior to the 8 p.m game against the Washington Wizards.
The Falcons earned their 2nd trip to the Super Bowl this past Sunday, January 22, by handing a 44-21 defeat to the Green Bay Packers.
Fans will get to see Falcons players take part in the Hawks pregame lineups, uniting just before tip-off.
“Our franchise has always believed that sports has the unique ability to rally and unite a city and there is no greater example than the pride our city has exhibited around the Falcons and their amazing run to the Super Bowl,” Hawks CEO Steve Koonin said. “Coach Quinn and the Falcons’ theme of brotherhood has infected our city and we are proud to honor and extend our genuine well wishes to the team before they leave for Houston.”
Not only is this a big night honoring the Falcons, The Hawks, who are holding down the best record in the Eastern Conference and 2nd in the NBA since the start of January, are playing what is sure to be a high-intensity game against the Wizards who have the 3rd best record in the conference in 2017. Atlanta hip-hop artist, Lil Yachty, will treat fans to a halftime performance as well.

The boost the city has seen to morale since the playoffs began has been insurmountable. Mayor Kasim Reed, held a pep rally downtown today honoring the team in order to send them off on a celebratory high.
Tickets for the contest are available now at Hawks.com/yachty, including an option with a $10 food and beverage credit. To secure the $10 credit, fans should select “Food and Beverage Deal” after choosing a seat location and the barcode on the ticket will include the deal.
