Last Thursday I had the pleasure of going to the grand opening of Global Winter Wonderland. This lantern festival has been going on for some time now, but 2013 is it’s inaugural year in Atlanta. I can already see it will become an annual family tradition! As soon as you walk up to Turner Field’s green lot you can’t help but be overwhelmed by the vibrant lights and holiday atmosphere in the air.
I’ve decided to only post a few pictures from the actual event, because I don’t want to spoil the many surprise monuments included inside GWW! Event goers can expect to be transported to different continents in a matter of walking a few feet in a different direction. The fluidity of each lantern to each other also enhanced the experience.
Couple the fact that 20 carnival rides, live entertainment, and now the UniverSoul circus are all included in the ticket prices makes this an affordable memory waiting to be made with family, friends & Loved ones. Tickets are $24.99 for Adults, $18.99 for Seniors, and $16.99 for Children. P.S. they will be open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Special thanks to our good friend Kadeem Dunwell of FAME Magazine for taking great pics for us!
