Two-time defending champ, John Isner, squeeked by in his by his opening round match on Thursday night at the 2015 BB&T Atlanta Open, being held at Atlantic Station in Midtown.
Isner edged former top-10 player, Radek Stepanek, 7-6 7-6 in a match that featured high quality tennis from both players. The former University of Georgia Bulldog pounded out 33 aces on the night. Isner raised his all-time record to 17-3 at the Atlanta event and he now moves into the quarterfinals where his will play Ricardas Berankis on Friday afternoon.
