Raury is becoming quickly one of the hottest names in the music business and he hasn’t even dropped his first project yet.
Raury, a native singer/songwriter from Atlanta, has been critically acclaimed for his two singles “God’s Whisper” & “Cigarette Song”. With his highly anticipated project, Indigo Child, coming out with the upcoming months he will be a hot commodity in music. Raury has caught the eyes and ears of many people in and around the music industry and only being 18-years-old.
Kanye, another Atlanta-born rapper who lived most of his life in Chicago, has been one of the driving forces behind hip-hop the last decade and even longer with his music production. ‘Ye was highly impressed with Raury after seeing his video for “God’s Whisper“. So impressed that he flew Raury out to meet as said by one of Raury’s reps reported by Zach Frydenlund from Complex. Speculation of Kanye and Raury working together surfaced after a photo of the two was posted on the Kanye fan site, KanyeToThe, a couple days ago.
“The photo was taken shortly after Kanye West saw the “God’s Whisper” video. ‘Ye personally flew Raury out and expressed that he was inspired by the visual,” said by Raury’s rep to Zach from Complex. “The two played each others album and just kicked it. However, West is working on his next album and they plan to hit the studio very soon.”
This meeting-of-the-minds will possibly turn into a working relationship in the future. Kanye is currently working on his new album and Raury will be dropping Indigo Child in the upcoming months while also appearing at the Outkast homecoming show “ATLast” in Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park in September.
