With the Super Bowl just right around the corner, Atlanta Falcons fans can hardly contain their excitement for a possible title and spot in history. And with help from Mayor Kasim Reed, fans may be able to party even longer into the night on Sunday.
Most all bars in Atlanta close at 12:00 AM on Sundays, but Mayor Reed just signed an executive order to allow bars to open till 2:30 AM. It’s a great gesture from the mayor to show the city and its people how much he cares about the excitement of the Falcon’s Super Bowl appearance.
There’s no doubt that other cities would get real nervous about the riots and uproar that could potentially break out but Atlanta ignores that—and for good reason. Whether it’s been heartbreaking losses in the past or massive protests taking over downtown, Atlanta’s citizens and its authorities have done a great job of keeping the peace even during times of emotional highs and unrest.
Besides, everyone is ready to watch the Falcons get the win and come back home as Champions so there will be nothing but celebrations and Atlanta pride filling the streets this Sunday.
The Super Bowl will air on FOX February 5th, 2017 at 6:30 PM, so don’t miss history in the making. Atlanta’s going to rise up and overcome, and fans will party all night long if we win.
