Riding the high from a magical showing in Denver against the Broncos, the Falcons were poised and ready to take down the Seahawks, despite knowing this would be a difficult challenge.
Defeating the Seahawks on their hone turf would be accomplishing the nearly impossible. And despite almost pulling this off, Atlanta’s Falcons fell just short of what would have been an astonishing comeback story. And it all ended because one flag was not thrown.
It seemed like Matt Ryan and the offense had found the magic fix to what was a difficult struggle in Seattle (at one point the Falcons were down 3 to 17). With just 1:39 left on the clock, Matt locked his sights on the man with the plan, Julio Jones. While it looked like Jones would be able to catch the ball and bring the team one step closer to making a game winning play, Jones had trouble bringing the ball in.
Cornerback Richard Sherman made it impossible for Jones to use two hands to catch the ball.
A call like this should almost get an immediate flag, right?
Wrong.
This allowed the Seahawks to take possession and win the game, 26-24.
Since then, the internet has been set ablaze.

Let’s see if the Seahawks defense gets away this again. If so, they have become more fake than a Lebron flop.
