Upon arriving to Paragon 7 Studio in Atlanta this past Friday, the place Moving Art ATL was being held, I was impressed by the amount of artists being featured. Each artist was encouraged to bring original pieces of their own to display throughout the gallery. They were also assigned one model to use as a canvas, which was also skilled in the art of yoga. Once all artists were completed with their walking works of art the real show began. First up were two that performed a sort of acrobatic yoga, where a male yogi used balance and strength to hold up a female yogi who equally demonstrated those qualities.
A “Yoga Room” was designated for the pieces that captured the human body which hinted as to why yoga mats were laid out throughout the floor space. Towards the end of the show all the yoga models gathered here and posed their best moves. Moving Art ATL brought body art to life. The graceful movements and strong abilities of the yogis greatly enhanced the atmosphere of the event. It created a small, intimate moment between artist and model which was later expressed through the energy flow of yoga.
