About 3 months ago I was introduced to a sound that would be a musical revelation to my ears. The name of the group is “Watch The Duck” straight out of East Atlanta, by way of Montgomery, Alabama. If you are not familiar with Soulstep get ready for an eargasm.
Soul step is a cross between dub step and trap step with a hard hitting EDM and R&B presence. The King, T.I., has even taken notice of the group at the suggestion of Pharell Williams and since has graced several Watch The Duck tracks including the new single “Girlfriend“. Watch the Duck is also featured on the Iggy Azalea’s track “100”.
Not new to the game Watch The Duck has produced for Beyonce ( Why Don’t You Love Me) and have also produced several official remixes. If you saw “Ride Along” their song “Poppin Off” is featured at the beginning of the movie.
