May is National Tennis Month and Atlantans started the month in a big way with last weekend’s AYTEF and UTA Teach-A-Thon
The Atlanta Youth Tennis and Education Foundation (AYTEF) is organized a “MAYTEF” Teach-A-Thon fundraiser in collaboration with Universal Tennis Academy (UTA), in lieu of National Tennis Month, with the aim of supporting the youth in our program.
“We welcome all Atlanta-based tennis pros, clubs, academies, and tennis players to contribute to our cause by participating in their own unique way throughout the city. Our objective is to donate 270 tennis lessons throughout the month of May.”
Top teaching pro fundraisers will receive rewards and recognition, including a special gift for pros who raise $300 or more, an award for the group or individual who raises the most money among participating clubs or academies, and two free tickets to the UTA Night at the Atlanta Open for the pro who raises the most money.
Partnering in an event like this can make a significant difference in the lives of AYTEF youth. Additionally, it can increase awareness about the mission and how the entire tennis community can play a vital role in supporting our program.
Both adults and kids turned out for lessons and to improve their game.
