A open casting call has been sent out for Marvel’s “Captain America 3: Civil War.” The beginning of Phase 3 for Marvel’s Cinematic Universe (MCU for short) will has begun filming. Following in the footsteps of this summer’s ‘Ant-Man‘, Cap 3 is filming at the new Pinewood Movie Studios in Fayetteville, Georgia. This is a PIVOTAL movie for the MCU, so the fact that it is shooting in Georgia cements the Peach State’s grip on the tv/film industry.
Captain America 3 will be released on May 6, 2016 and will center around the Marvel “Civil War” storyline. Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Iron Man and will be the first appearance of Black Panther in the MCU! He will be played by Chadwick Boseman, who filmed the Jackie Robinson biopic “42” and James Brown biopic “Get On Up” in Georgia. Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier), Falcon, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlett Witch, The Vision and War Machine are all set to reprise their roles in the film, along with newcomers to the MCU: Ant-Man & Spider-Man. Not only will the be fighting amongst themselves, but our heroes will face off against super villain Baron Zemo & Crossbones. Needless to say, this cast alone trumps the recently released Age Of Ultron off of sheer star power alone. The Russo brothers have returned to direct the film and will be taking their talents to “Infinity Wars: Part 1 & 2” afterwards.
