A potential target during Day 2 of the NFL Draft and a fan favorite visited on the Bucs on Tuesday.
According to Josh Norris of NBC Sports, Georgia running back, Nick Chubb was in Tampa for a pre-draft visit.
Chubb, who was one-half of Georgia’s two-headed monster of a backfield, is a patient runner with shifty moves at the line of scrimmage. Per Bucs Nation’s draft expert Kyle Marks, the former Bulldog is very productive out of the backfield that was able to overcome a knee injury in 2016.
Georgia’s captain started 14 games and rushed for 1,345 yards on 223 carries in 2017. He reached the end zone 15 times and was second-team All-SEC honors.
Chubb’s average projected draft slot is anywhere in Rounds 2 and 3.
His cousin, however, Bradley Chubb is projected to be a top 5 pick for the 2018 NFL Mock Draft – “Bradley Chubb is the best edge player available and will be a difference-maker from Day 1 for the Giants.” according to Matt McEwan at SportsBettingDime.
