Nikon School will be coming to Atlanta and there are great opportunities for all! Nikon School is the perfect chance for anyone – whether you are passionate about photography or simply looking to take your Instagram to the next level – to step up their photography game. Taught by industry experts, the classes are packed with hands-on demonstrations and interactive experiences that are informative, creative and fun.
Great timing for spring and summer as Nikon School returns to Atlanta on March 18 and 19.
Classes being offered in Atlanta:
Action and People Photography During this 3-hour class, our goal is to improve your action and people photography skills. Believe it or not, becoming a better action photographer will also make you a better people photographer because the best pictures are about moments and capturing them involves timing.

Basics of Exposure & Camera Controls Whether you’re new to photography or just ready to go beyond point and shoot, this fun 3-Hour Nikon School class will inspire you to make better photos by teaching you the basics of exposure and how to use your camera more effectively. Learn how to use shutter speed, ISO and aperture to form a proper exposure, what all those buttons, dials and menus are on your camera, how and when to use a flash, how to frame a scene or portrait for a great photo and much more—and have a great time while you do it!

Landscape & Travel Photography For anyone who wants to take their landscape and travel DSLR photography to a higher level, both creatively and technically, this 3-Hour Nikon School class will put you on the path to success. Explore the different qualities of light and learn how to use light to your advantage. Find out what techniques and accessories will help you create more rewarding travel photographs on your trips and vacations—even get advice on planning for a trip and what to pack!

In addition to these onsite workshops, Nikon School Online allows users to develop their skills from the comfort of their own home. Nikon School Online will expand its curriculum with a new Fundamentals of Photography Featuring Reed Hoffmann class, allowing even more photographers to master the basic principles of photography through in-depth explanations and hands-on demonstrations in real-world scenarios. The class will cover a range of topics including ISO, shutter speed and aperture, low-light and fast action shooting, exposure compensation, autofocus and the basics of composition, that will help to unleash each participant’s creative potential and take their photography to the next level.
To complement these new offerings, several of the industry’s finest photographers will be returning to Nikon School to offer their expertise to aspiring photographers nationwide. Photographers Michael Schwartz, Bob Pearson, JC Carey, Andy Dunaway and Reed Hoffmann will lead seminars and workshops in local markets across the country detailing the basics of photography and teaching the complexities of lighting to create stunning portraits. Classes will continue to offer technical expertise in camera exposure, controls and video capture, in addition to creative inspiration in topics such as Travel and Landscape, Action and People, as well as Elements of Photography.
