Petsense by Tractor Supply (which has locations in Locust Grove, Covington, and Griffin) will be hosting a huge Food, Shelter & Love adoption and fundraising event on Saturday, August 27. They are trying to get the word out.

The ASCPA reports that more than 23 million American households adopted a pet during the first year of the pandemic. More than 6 million animals enter shelters in the U.S. each year and only a little more than half are adopted. When shelters are crowded, it’s less likely that every animal will be seen or even adopted. But a specialty-pet chain is stepping up to give them a better chance at finding their forever humans.
The newly rebranded “Petsense by Tractor Supply” is joining the national Food, Shelter & Love adoption and fundraising event by activating in-store nationwide on Saturday, August 27. To sweeten the story, Petsense by Tractor Supply will also be hosting a contest on their Facebook page, requesting “Gotcha Day” stories to reward five lucky winners with a Petsense gift card. The fun is all to celebrate the pet-specialty retailers new name and activation of Tractor Supply’s award-winning loyalty program, Neighbor’s Club.
