Last year, Raury broke through blog sites and new artist radars in a wildfire fashion. With tracks like “Cigarette Song” and “God’s Whisper”, the Atlanta native brought a refreshing wind to the musical atmosphere. In celebration of his budding success and upcoming birthday, he was turning 18, the artist created Raurfest. The event was held in Castleberry Hill with a reported attendance of nearly 500.
This year, the Indigo Child and his Love Renaissance team will return for the second annual Raurfest. The collaborating groups will be releasing more information in the upcoming weeks via Creative Loafing. Raury’s second festival is said to feature Big K.R.I.T., 6LACK, India Shawn, Keith Ape, Two-9 and Trinidad James. That list of features isn’t a full set yet and I’m interested to see who else will be added. Raury has been seen in a lot photos with different artists and performing at many functions lately, so there is no telling who he may bring. Additionally, because he is from Stone Mountain, there’s high potential that some of his fellow ATLiens may get some shine.
My return to Atlanta will be like WW3, we plan to shake the city up each time I do something for my ATL
