Atlanta was blazing today! Just six days away from the official start of spring, Atlanta reached a record breaking 84 degrees around 4:00 PM. This breaks the record of 82 degrees set in 2012.
The whole state of Georgia was hot today, LaGrange, Georgia reached 89 degrees reported by meteorologist Brad Nitz on Twitter.

Pollen isn’t as extreme as it usually is at this point. The pollen count was marked at 478 particles per cubic meter. Last year the season high was 6,152 on April 9th.
HOW TO HANDLE POLLEN IN GEORGIA
We’re expected to be cooled off soon though, showers expected to wash through Atlanta at about 8 a.m. Wednesday will continue bring temperatures down to the low 70s by Thursday and the upper 60s by Friday.
Showers will again develop late Friday and continue into Saturday.
Highs will drop to the upper 50s Sunday.
