With cycling enthusiasts looking to bike shops for personalization and a sense of community, The Active Times has unveiled its list of the 50 Best Bike Shops in America. The Active Time’s list is designed to celebrate local bike shops that offer the expertise, quality, and personal touch that big box stores can’t provide.
When building the list, bike shops were nominated by experts in the field and then turned over to The Active Times readers to choose the honorees. With participation from 2,525 voters, and more than 1,000 cycling enthusiasts commenting in support of their local shops, 50 shops were chosen for the list.
Georgia placed 4 shops on the list, with Roswell Bicycles coming in at #2.
Of the 26 states who placed on the list, Colorado reigned king with 5, followed by Georgia with 4, and Vermont with 3. Minnesota, Massachusetts, and New York also had multiple bike shops featured.
