Omaha-based Scooter’s Coffee expands into the metro area and a special grand opening week is planned.
Scooter’s Coffee, the coffee franchise that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year, has increased its national footprint with the opening of the company’s first store in the state of Georgia. The new location, a drive-thru coffeehouse in Roswell, GA, (550 W. Crossville Road), features Scooter’s new, modernized interior design, free Wi-Fi, USB charging stations, a large group meeting room, a convenient drive-thru window, and of course, its full menu of world-class coffee and espresso drinks, as well as hand-crafted pastries.
To celebrate the opening, the new location will offer $1 medium drinks this Friday, November 13th.
“This opening marks yet another milestone in a year full of impressive accomplishments,” said Don Eckles, CEO and co-founder of Scooter’s Coffee. “The Atlanta market is among the top in the nation in nearly every area of economic significance and has a unique reputation for its warm and welcoming culture. We look forward to becoming a part of this bustling community.”
This location will be owned by Jon and Deanna Erwin, former Kansas City Multi-Unit Franchisees, who moved to Atlanta to develop the Scooter’s brand in the market.
“We’ve watched the Scooter’s brand experience a large amount of success in the Midwest market, and we knew that we could recreate that same magic in the great state of Georgia,” said Deanna Erwin. “After spending nearly a year here getting to know the wonderful people, we couldn’t be more excited about this grand opening!”
The Erwins plan to open several more locations in the Atlanta area over the next few years
To add to the excitement of Grand Opening day, Scooter’s will be partnering with the Kyle Korver Foundation, an organization led by the Atlanta Hawks’ own, Kyle Korver. The Foundation works to improve the lives of children and families that are most in need in the community. Customers will have the option of adding a “Korver Jump Shot” of espresso to their order for an additional $1. The proceeds will benefit the Kyle Korver Foundation
“Growing up, I was taught that when you can help, it’s what you do. Not for a reward, or because you have to, but because you can,” said Korver. “We’re excited to partner with Scooter’s for their grand opening in the Atlanta area because they share our passion for improving our communities, one child, one family and one neighborhood at a time.”
Each $1 “Korver Jump Shot” of espresso will also give the customer an opportunity to win prizes, including Atlanta Hawks tickets, a signed Kyle Korver basketball and a $25 gift card to Scooter’s.
The Kyle Korver Foundation supports non-profit agencies in Atlanta, such as the Atlanta Mission, Plywood People, and others, as well as non-profits in the cities in which Kyle has previously lived and played, including the home of the company’s corporate headquarters, Omaha, NE.
