The celebrities came out last week, to show off their cooking skills in the Surgeon’s Touch Foundation, Scaplel vs. Spatula Celebrity Check cookoff.
Founded by renowned ATL plastic surgeon, Dr. Wright Jones, the event, the inaugural Scalpel vs Spatula Celebrity Chef competition benefited the foundation’s mission to provide free reconstructive plastic surgery to disadvantaged youth (7-21 years old) with severe deformities due to trauma.
The evening was sponsored by Lexus and Belaire champagne. Guests had a blast as the celebrities cooked for a cause, helping the local organization.
Surgeon’s Touch Foundation is proud to help bridge the alarming healthcare disparities seen within the field of reconstructive plastic surgery. Eligible youth patients suffering from acquired and congenital abnormalities are able to receive reconstructive surgery from competent plastic surgeons and necessary healthcare professionals through the non-profit organization. The event helped raise money for the foundation to provide these free of charge surgeries to youth in need.
Eligible low-income patients suffering from acquired and congenital abnormalities will receive reconstructive surgery from competent plastic surgeons and necessary healthcare professionals. Each operation is earned through effective community service projects developed by patients and two additional supporters. Our aim is to also ignite a spirt of giving and positivity within these often heavily burdened communities. Visit: www.surgeonstouch.org.
