Former NFL player, Kendall Newson, knows a thing or two about getting kids involved in sports. He has used his platform as a professional athlete to make kids aware that sports can lead to bigger things. First it was football, but now he’s introducing kids to the sport of fishing.
“It’s all about playing to win in life,” explains Newson, who played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins. “Studies show that sports benefit the mind as well as the body.”
Newson and his fishing friends will be taking over Anderson Park on Saturday, October 28, with the goal of “teaching a child to fish.”
