Here’s a list of Georgia’s 10 most expensive houses on the marketing right now. See if some are in your price range..
10. Sea Island, GA ($8.95M)
This cottage was built in 1924 by Colonel Tillinghast L’Hommedieu Hudson also known as Cap Hutson who at the time was the 3rd owner of the New York Yankees. He’s also responsible for building Yankees Stadium in 1915! He ended up selling his share of the Yankees for $1.50 million in 1922 and bought this house shortly after. Then he later died in Darien, Georgia in 1938. In 2004 the current owners took 5 years and renovated this place into the luxury home that it is today. 7 beds, 7 baths a bocce court, lap pool & more.

6. St. Simons Island, GA ($10M)
There aren’t too many pictures of this location but you can tell that’s the size of the house is insane. This place has 3 floors and sits on 11,600 sq ft with an incredible view of the water. Some other features consist of:
- It’s very own pizza oven just in case you want to get your CiCi’s Pizza on.
- A glass elevator

5. Suwanee, GA ($10.9M)
This mansion was actually featured as one of the “Top 25 Mansions in US“, the only one from Georgia to make the list. The mansion costs $40 million to build and is currently listed at $10.9 million.
4. Sea Island, GA ($12M)
This place has 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms and is the richest home on Sea Island. Another marsh front property on the northern part of Sea Island, with over 15,000 square feet and 3 levels, this mansion literally has everything you need. Theater room, with a bar area, it’s a great place for people of all ages to be entertained.
3. Atlanta, GA ($12.5M)
The mansion has six bedrooms, seven full baths, four half-baths and features intricate finishes such ascarved stone, ironwork, decorative tiles, solid mahogany doors , honed limestone and oak floors with walnut border inlay, granite, caesarstone and marble. This home was featured in AtlBiz Chronicle’s “Georgia’s most elegant homes“.
2. Atlanta, GA ($15.9M)
At one point this was the most expensive home in Atlanta until our next home was placed onto the market. Located in the Buckhead area, this home has been used for movies such as the latest version of “Three Stooges”, Bill Murray’s house on Zombieland, rented out for “MTV Cribs” (yep, most of those shows were fake) and Real Housewives of Atlanta. A couple of years ago this palace was listed at $20M, the owners are having trouble selling it so they dropped the price to $16M. I’m sure it’s extremely hard finding people willing to spend $16 million on a home.
1. Atlanta, GA ($25M)
The house that Tyler Perry built. If you’re unfamiliar with Tyler Perry, he’s a multi-millionaire screen writer/producer/actor well known for his “Madea” movies. In 2011, Forbes named him the “highest paid man in the entertainment industry”, earning $130 million just between 2010 and 2011. This mansion sits pretty on 17 acres right along the Chatahooche River about 10 miles away from downtown Atlanta. Along with the 7 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms Tyler Perry’s home has a double decker PARKING GARAGE, a Las Vegas styled pool and spa, and a “presidential-level security system” as the listing explains. Tyler Perry plans on building a brand new 1,000+ acre home near Six Flags.
