Georgians visiting Myrtle Beach will love the layout and true golf experience of Tidewater Golf Club.
Head out of town, away from the beach scene and Main Street to North Myrtle Beach and you will find one of the finest golf experiences on the east coast. It’s Tidewater Golf Club and it really is more than what you might expect to find in Myrtle Beach.
Course architect, Ken Tomlinson crafted this masterpiece after visiting some of the great golf courses in the country. What he learned is to make the best of what you have and hold true to the natural surroundings and he does just that with Tidewater.
Tidewater’s golf course and residential development sits on a peninsula overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Take in the saltwater marsh and ocean inlet that is adjacent to the course on the east while the Intracoastal Waterway is the setting for several holes on the north and west. Adding to the visual variety, thick stands of hardwoods conjure memories of New England’s finest clubs. I’m told that some trees have recently been removed during a renovation, but it’s hard to tell what is missing.
Tomlinson’s ambition here was to create the unique qualities that would attract a national championship or Ryder Cup event. Well, that probably won’t happen, but what you have with Tidewater is a course all levels of play can enjoy.
Georgians are more than welcome at Tidewater, check out at TidewaterGolfVacations.com or call (843) 420-1046 and speak to your golf concierge to insure the most memorable, worry-free and incredible golf.
