Muzo Saritas, owner of Truva Turkish Kitchen, has announced the opening of the second location of Truva in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Truva provides an authentic Mediterranean dining concept and delicious, traditional Turkish cuisine.
“One of the best ways to learn about a new culture is through its food,” says Saritas, a native of Istanbul. “We feel so fortunate that we can now offer a fully immersive Mediterranean dining experience to the Virginia-Highland community, and we’ve made this new location even more family-focused to serve the residents of the neighborhood.”
Truva will provide people with an immersive experience in the culture of Turkey with the Executive Chef Sehmus Gultekin. He was born in Turkey and brings recipes from his homeland to our city of Atlanta. The menu will feature a selection of cold and hot meze, salads, chargrilled kebabs and entree specialties.
“Experiencing different foods from different cultures allows diners to see and taste what a daily experience can include,” states Saritas. “Chef Sehmus is always happy to meet with our guests and answer any questions. By inviting our guests to walk through the many flavor sensations of our menu for a unique dining experience. By offering authentic specialties from Turkish culture such as as traditional raki plate, adana and lamb kebabs, the yogurt drink Ayran and Turkish wines in an inviting atmosphere.”
Signature dishes include…
Stuffed grape leaves with seasoned jasmine rice, onions, currants, pine nuts, olive oil and fresh lemon juice.
Traditional Turkish-style red lentil soup with onions, potatoes, carrots and flour.
Braised lamb shank with coriander, mint, eggplant puree and pan just.
