A new attraction planned for LaGrange will give visitors something to howl about.
Great Wolf Lodge, located at exit 13 off I-85, about 68 miles southwest of Atlanta, will include a 93,000-square-foot water park.
The massive project will create more than 600 jobs and is an economic investment exceeding $150 million. It’s expected to bring about About will bring about 500,000 people annually to the area.
Wisconsin-based Great Wolf Resorts operates several indoor water parks around the nation, including Grapevine, Texas, the Boston area, Sandusky, Ohio and Colorado Springs, Colo. The Georgia site will be the 15th in the chain.
The destination resort will provide families with nearly 500,000-square-feet of entertainment offerings and 456 guest suites.
Each suite can accommodate at least five people and include an in-room refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Families can choose from several suite styles, including the kid-focused Wolf Den and KidCabin suites, complete with bunk beds and themes featuring the Great Wolf Kids characters. Larger families will also be able to choose from several suites styles that sleep up to eight people and feature additional bedrooms and bathrooms.
The resort will have several restaurants and food outlets including the full-service Barnwood and Hungry as a Wolf handcrafted pizza and pasta.
